Dating back to the 1860s, The Hive is a living testament to the colonial era, offering an intimate, meticulously preserved historic atmosphere. Originally serving as the very first post office in the Kumaon region, the estate was managed by Christopher William Corbettβ€”father of the legendary hunter and conservationist, Jim Corbett. Today, privately owned and thoughtfully cared for by Dr. Ranjeet Bhargava, the property blends traditional British-era architecture with tranquil modern comforts. From its vintage wooden accents to its sloping roofs, every corner of The Hive echoes the footsteps of the dignitaries and notable visitors it has hosted for over a century and a half.
